Hi, Has anyone had painful joints and muscles from taking LYRICA ? I was prescribed this medication after spinal fusion. All my joints are painful and stiff after being on it since May 19th. Pls advise. Thanks, mel v.

I used Lyrica for a while to manage my nerve pain. It was effective when I used 75 mg 2x day. My doctor then upped the dosage to 150mg 2x day.

After that I started having major swelling in my leg, feet and toes. I felt like I was walking but always asleep.

As soon as the dosage dropped down to 75mg 2x day I was fine. Then shortly afterward, I stopped Lyrical all together and switched to Neurontin.

But, I can say that I never experienced any joint pain using Lyrica. What other medications are you currently taking?

  • Hi, I'm on Dilaudid 4mg every 12 hours and Tylenol arthritis pain formula 650mg every 12 hours. I stopped taking the Lyrica about 1 week ago and started glucosamine and chondroitin but the supplement has not helped yet . :''(

  • It might be worth while to have your GP do some blood work. I am not a doctor, but have recently found out that my thyroid levels are significantly low.

Low thyroid can cause muscle pain, swollen joints and a multitude of other symptoms.

I wish I would have had the blood work done months ago as I knew something was wrong.

    Wishing you the best!
