3 Months Post Op ADR C4/5

Hi everyone~
I had my C4/5 replaced on April 26, 2010. I've noticed some really good changes since surgery and some symptoms that haven't changed since surgery. My chiro and PT are telling me that this is a very slow and long recovery. SO...I was just wondering about your experiences with recovery? Is it "normal" that I'm still having lots of spasm and headaches?
Also~ I'm very frustrated with my surgeon. I've had two post op appointments and for both of them the doctor never came in and I just saw the PA. I've even argued with the office about this and told them that I want to see my surgeon and not his assistant!! Has this happened to anyone else? I'm totally blown away that I haven't seen the doctor since the day of surgery!!

  • I haven't had ADR surgery but is the PA prescribing something for the muscle spasms or headaches? Did you have a PM Dr. before surgery? Maybe the PA will give you a referral to your PM Dr. for pain relief. I don't understand why your Surgeon or PA isn't helping you. I hope you get a Dr. to help with managing your post-op pain. Take care. Charry
