Good evening everyone!!
I am not new here I have been on here for about 3 years. I apologise right now for complaining!
Over the last two months My pain has increased. I had a level one fusion with hardware in July on 2008. I have had many ingestion's, medications, PT, chrio., at home tens unit.
My meds that I am taking right now is 800mg Gabapentin 3x a day, Methocarbam 500 mg, 3x a day, and lortab 10mg 2x a day. right now nothing is helping with the pain. I almost fell like I did before first surgery. I had the hardware removed in Dec of 2009. I hate taking the pain meds due to the fact that I have 3 kids that I still need to take care of. The oldest of my kids is 14 so i do have her to help with the other kids.
I need help on what to do. or any thing that you can suggest on helping with the pain!! I am seeing a Pain Specialist and cause of the injections did not help he is not sure on what to do now. when I go in he just pushes on my back to see where the pain is and then just gives me meds and sends me home. I am trying to just get the pain under control. So and suggestions would be great!! I am open to any thing!!

  • Sorry to hear of your ongoing pain issues. I've been to 3 Pain Management Drs for their opinions. I think you should mention the pain increase to your Primary Dr. to see if they can help. Best wishes. Charry

  • I am feeling bad for your continue pain trouble. I think you should consult an expert doctor for the better treatment. They can help you to come out from your problem. As you told that you have got some treatment from somewhere but you didn't get the result. So consult to the perfect and expert doctor is advisable from my opinion.

  • Hi Cherry. It might be time to go back to your neurologist/orthopedist to get re-evaluated. What you are feeling might be related to your surgery area or might be something new. In my experience a PM is only going to treat pain not figure out what is going on.

Hope this helps. Sometimes we need to step back to look at the whole picture again.
