MRI and my sciatic pain - help!

ajamiesonaajamieson Posts: 65
Well I got my MRI and gave it to a second neurologist for an opinion. I have a hard time understanding this but from what I do understand I have 2 issues: 1) scar tissue possibly pressing on the sciatic nerve, and 2) the hardware from my lumbar fusion is possibly preventing spinal fluid "flow". I really don't know what this means for me. How can your spinal fluid flow be obstructed? My major issue is extreme sciatic pain that hasn't gone away. Anyone heard of hardware blocking the spinal fluid flow? The second opinion says the hardware should come out and be replaced. Ugh.
