  • I have a feeling I may have a second SCS in my future. The one for my hips is doing great. Unfortunately, now that I'm not in constant pain from my hips, my neck is giving me trouble. My injections and such haven't worked, and that was how I started out with my hips.

Next up is a CT scan, and then I guess we'll see what happens, but since my neck is going the same way my hips did... yeah.

Keep us posted on how it works out for you if they do try two!
  • Personally speaking, I would be concerned that doing a trial for 2 simulators for different areas at the same time might cloud the effectiveness of one or both. If you do both at the same time, I would highly recommend running them separately for a period to see what that gives you during the trial.

  • Thank you everyone for your input...I have my list of questions to fire at my Pain Dr on Wednesday morning at our appointment..

Will let you know when the trials are going to be and for how long after I see him..

    Take care

  • My Specialist Appointment went well and the trial for the Stimulators is booked for the 13th of October now and not the end of November, so only 4 weeks away..One will go up the length of my spine with the other going across my lumbar spine.
Fingers crossed it works as he also told me today that along with my nerve damage and degenerative bone disease..., I also have Fybromialga (Muscle Damage)..Lucky Me!!

He also rearranged my medications to make life a bit less painful for me..

  • I hope you your scs help as much as mine did for me.

  • Exactly what I'm going through. I'm so sick of nerve cutting in my neck and current one is giving me double the pain and totally disabled me.....sitting in a chair with dark glasses, can't get pain out of my neck despite multiple heavy meds (7), ice/heat, massage, ointments, traction, exercise, stretching, and more.

I am thinking SCS is going to be the next step and want to know of any others that have gone through it, and how I talk to my unapproachable spine specialist who doesn't listen to me and doesn't want to hear about my pain.
  • :) Thanks Jim for your support. And also thank you to everyone who posted..
