Back and Neck Pain from Auto Accident
This is my first post on the forum. About 3 weeks ago I was involved in an auto accident, my vehicle was rear ended. I went to ER right away, had X-Rays done, the ER sent me home with pain killers and muscle relaxers, which I didn't take since I was fine the next morning. Two weeks after my wreck I began to experience pain in my upper back in between my shoulder blades, my shoulder blades themselves, and my upper shoulders. Now I've got pain in my neck, shoulders and upper back.
At first I figured what I had was a case of whiplash, but now I have this burning sensation in my shoulders and the back of my neck.
I've been to a chiropractor the past couple of days (for the first time in my life) and he is convinced it is just whiplash. My chiro is working with me doing some PT and back adjustments.
I'm a little worried that I may have a disc problem in my uppper back, possibly neck, which would explain the burning sensation.
I'm going to get a second opinion from my regular MD tomorrow and see what he has to say.
Right now I'm looking for any advice this forum may be able to give me, as I haven't done a whole lot of homework on this yet, and I want to make sure that I'm taking the right steps.
Thanks in advance!
