Irritable Bladder?

Can an irritable bladder be caused by DDD or other low back problems?

I've been a slave to mine for years, it really interferes with life. I tried Vesicare, almost no relief but plenty of dry mouth as a side effect.

It seems logical that there could be a connection. Thoughts?

  • For the answer to that you might try the search box on the SpineHealth site. If you don't find what you need, your doctor would be the best source of information. Best wishes!
  • The only connection I have every heard is with Sciatica but its not so much 'irritable' bladder. I have just been warned, when my sciatica was it its worst, that if I ever lose control of bladder or bowels, or have numbness in the 'privates' to get to emergency right away as they would have to do emergency surgery. I've never had this happen thank goodness. As essmoe29 stated I would search the spin health articles and see if you can find anything on it or ask your doctor. Hope you find the answers you need soon.
