For the last 4years, I have had CONSTANT pain in my neck. Mostly on the left side. I was just told its arthritis.??? I have pain, horrible pain, ALL the time. Constantly. But I also get numbing in my hands a lot, and a lot of weakness. I also have grinding and cracking of my neck often. My head, arms, hands and ears hurt all the time. What I'm getting at is-i can't believe arthritis is causing ALL of this pain. What's really going on????

  • I have dealt with pain like that for years. I have been seeing a physical therapist since November. It is constant. I am still going weekly. Mostly what he works on is my trigger points in my neck and upper shoulder area. I have had dry needling done a couple times but it only seems to aggravate it more. I was recently diagnosed with cervicogenic headaches, migraines without aura caused by the degregation of the cervical nerves. I have no idea if its going to be an issue for the long term. I have been getting them for the last 2-3 yrs.
Keep trying the different pain therapies. It takes time to work through it.

  • So much has happened 2 years plus? Please enlighten us. Is it good, bad or a combination? I am interested in hearing what has transpired since your post way back in 2011.

Please let us know how you have been and what it has been like the last 2 + years!

Realize that FEAR is our worst enemy. Get up & get out in that stormy weather of the real world & kick fear in the teeth. Stare at it dead in the eyes & walk right through it into the storm; because once you're wet, you won’t fear the rain anymore
  • 4 years later and no xrays or MRI's? Always get a second and even a third opinion. I would recommend xrays and an MRI. Take control. This is your life. Do NOT delay.
