:jawdrop: Those of us that have been on opiates for any length of time will have noticed the effect of dry mouth on the :W ir teeth! Well, please imagine if you will, coupling that with being struck off my original dental list by a new and ambitious practise manager (I fell over 8 hrs before my appointment) who got annoyed when I cancelled and refused to pay the penalty as the appointment was filled by another patient and not wasted - so having to go on a FOUR YEAR waiting list then moving from the area and going on another list ! Well you can imagine how my teeth look :-( Broken, rotten, missing at the front - they are awful!! I have tried many of the recommended toothpastes/mouthwashes that are supposed to combat dry mouth but to be honest I didn't find them that good :-(
Today I finally got a waiting list for a local dentist - so I am on my way to saying goodbye to my awful Heroine addict teeth lol !!!

  • i have nice teeth but as i am opiates too and have been for 6 years now i have noticed i have a dry mouth and its the dry mouth that knackers your teeth .i drink loads of water and always clean my teeth with an oral b high end power brush .my advice is drink loads and clean you teeth more than normal and chew gum and use a good none alcohol mouth wash oral b make one as do many other manufacturers .also make sure your bed room is cool and you have fresh air in there because if you sleep in a hot room your mouth will dry out quick .i have a glass of water at night and is gone in the morning! .i know its a pain but keep your mouth moist
