  • Has anyone recently had this procedure done and if so, was it a hard time getting it approved?

  • Hi

Welcome those of you who are just coming here it is a valuable place to learn and also so many wonderful people here who will try to help you and give you support. I am struggling a little with our new format so hope I am posting in the right spot.

Sounds like you are struggling my heart goes out to all of you I never dreamed anything could hurt like this and of course there is worse so many deal with more than I do. Hopefully all of you will find relief in the near future and I feel we can learn from each other and give each other ideas for relief. There is a list on here called the "Blend" that gives suggestions that may help some of you. I have had chronic back and several others issues for 15 or more years but in the past two years I have developed this horrible pain increased in my lower back, Left hip, butt, upper leg and groin. It is so much worse than the pain I had before it never quits no matter what I do. I do get some relief from pain medications and ice but my goal is to get as low as possible on the pain medications. I have had different diagnoses like SI joint, bursitis, muscle/tissue, arthritis issues with several injections, medication changes on and on with very little relief. It has taken my life away and I am desperately trying to get as much information as possible to make a decision about what direction to go.  Did you find it hard to get a doctor to go in that direction from what I have read and experienced they don't want to pursue it as the problem and then of course there are all the other things it can be. I get that the doctors find it hard so that is why I want to be as educated as possible so I can discuss it with a little smarts.

Please would you if you are up to it give me some information on how you were diagnosed and what specialist found the problem. Plus what were your symptoms it seems to vary from one person to another also do you know what started it or did it just come on sudden.

Hopefully we can learn from each other and it sure has helped me to have the emotional support. Please take care and hope you find some help.

    Take care Sherri

  • I am scheduled for an SI joint ablation in a couple of weeks.  Has anyone had this with really good results?  Thanks.
