Has anyone seen/read that letter to friends for chronic pain/illness sufferers? Do you know where I can find it? I thought there was one posted on the forum, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks!

  • I know there is one, that is probably the one you are talking about. It is called "Letter to Normals"

Check it out to see if that is the one you mean.

  • That's the one, Ron! Thanks to both of you! :)))
  • Ron posted is great in that it refers to chronic pain in general. Another great one is the spoon theory which is in this thread http://www.spine-health.com/forum/matters-heart/how-do-you-explain
reposted by Ron...fifth one down in the thread. I have shared this one before.

  • KimD,

Another that might be of help: On the net, do a search for "The Spoon Theory." This lady has Lupus, but gives a really good way of friends and family understanding why today we can do this, but tomorrow we can't, or we have to choose what we can do on a particular day....
