  • Sorry no one has replied yet. My issues at your level are a 'fatty benign tumor', so no, no bone fragment issues.

I will say this, write down all of your concerns, so when you see your surgeon (or if sooner concerns come up) you can relay them straight out.

Be aware, sadly nerves heal at around 1mm a day, and so that can try our patience. Also too, the loading on your spine has changed, so you might have delayed or new issues for a bit as the nerves heal. Forget NOT this... we pay our specialists the big bucks, so IF in doubt call em out and find out if you are good (normal healing) stage...

    PCTF C4 - T2, Laminectomies C5, C6 & C7. Severe Palsy left arm/hand.
  • Wishing you all the best at your appointment today. Please let us know how you make out. I had L4-S1 discectomy/lami 8 weeks ago. I am still struggling and my foot is still numb. Yep fip flops might be hard here this winter with 4 feet of snow.

You are doing great walking wise. I have just started to go quite a bit further this week, so 2-3 miles a day is great, one month out.

The nerves do take a long time to heal, and it also depends how long they were compressed before surgery.

Will you be starting physio soon?

We are here for you, look forward to hearing how it went for you today.
