Here's the situation -

My doctor thinks my lumbar pain / symptoms are MPS related.

I'm not sold on the idea - I've got a bulging disc at L5/SI level. Doctor thinks it's not causing problems. My PT tells me that maybe when my MRI happened that prone position does not show what the disc is doing. Again, I'm not convinced. She's not convinced either. She's been treating me for over 3 years now. I've got confirmed DDS and a 3 level cervical bulge.

Does MPS cause Sciatica / Numbness? I really need to get this addressed because I'm tired of living this way. This PM is new and I NEED him to believe me. If he doesnt he cannot help me. My MRI is relatively new - 06/2011 so I doubt they'll order a new one.

My symptoms -

Left foot numbness - now almost constant
Slight weakness in left leg
Shooting pain down my legs / butt - It hurts to walk.
Weather increases pain (burn)
Burning, aching back pain like my back is on fire.
Sitting increases pain
Standing increases pain
Seemingly sore lumbar vertebrae

For those of you with confirmed MPS, does this sound like it? To me it's classic disc bulge, but trying to convince some doctor otherwise is proving difficult. The thing is, I know they believe me as my entire back is constantly tight. The treatment options for the two problems are different. I'm just so confused and could really use an opinion from someone who actually has MPS. Thank you so much :)
