A Bridge Too Far

Having been with Spine-Health since before 2005, I have read and seen so many changes in structure, software, and members.

During the time period from 2006 through 2009, I watched as new members read others posts and once in a while would post asking a simple question. But for the most part, they waited and listened.

Today, I am seeing more and more first time members writing books about their condition and how they need so much help and no one in the medical field cares.

Things have changed, no question about that. But one thing has remained constant. That is those members that look at their situation as being the worse and that is what they are focused on.

What I see recently is:

HELP NOW I cant take it anymore
NO ONE cares
New to the site, but not to pain
No one understands[p/b]

I could go on and on about these type of posts. But I must say that the general member community at Spine-Health reads and listens. When other member post about their situation, they try to help.. When someone just complains , you might get a few other new members responding, but many of the old timers stay away.

To me its really simple. We've been there and are dealing with everything that has been thrown at us. Instead of looking for a quick fix, the magic pill, or complaining, we look for ways that can really help us.

Personally, I find it easier to respond to someone who is asking for help or advice, than someone who tries to strong arm there problems , no one else has their condition and they need Help NOW NOW NOW.

We are all here to help each other.. None of us are really that much different than each other. Remember, give each other a chance to really help
