I just found this forum this morning and wanted to say hi!
I just met with the neurologist last week after my MRI. Herniated L4/L5 and L5/S1. He has turned me over to the spinal doc in the same clinic and I meet with him this afternoon. My pain started in my hip a few months ago and within a few weeks moved down my leg into my calf and foot with is pins/needles/numbness. The pain in the morning is so bad I cry and scream out. This usually last for 2 hours or so. I was given 10mg Norco with instructions to take 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours as needed. This doesn't seem to take the edge off the pain. I haven't been able to drive for the past 7 days or so because that position is just too painful. I was given a back brace that helps some. It's an "Ossur Miami Lumbar" and it seems to help some what. Hopefully I can start with some cortisone injections this week and that will bring some relief.
I'm going to start reading all these posts today. What a relief to know I'm not alone!
