Since you mentioned it, I just thought I'd let you know that I too have (left) foot pain. It's not coming from the ankle, it's from the 'navicular' bone. The reason, I was told, is because for the last 7 years I have been walking in a way that compensates for back/leg pain. Over time, the navicular bone has 'come out' and the small bones inside have collapsed. I have been given different prosthetic insoles, but unfortunately they haven't helped ease the foot pain and may have contributed to the recent flare up of back pain I'm experiencing at the moment. Who knows? I don't. I just go with the flow, try the different things I'm told to, cross my fingers and hope for the best. What I want to know is: If I'm taking strong pain meds for my back, why don't they take away the foot pain too? Beats me.

Thats what I wonder sometimes to , when it takes away the back pain or might I say makes it bearable but the foot and ankle pain never stops..
