I searched sciatic pain and came across a wonderful discussion about it so I register and of course I can't find it now...so I'll start a new one...
I am no stranger to pain...constant neck and knee pain but this sciatic nerve pinching tops the charts...let's talk about last month. Oct 16 I had a novasure ablation which was crampy/painful the day of the procedure but well worth it all if I never have to deal with another period with miserable cramps again. The day after Oct 17th, I had a bad car wreck, stopped at a stop light and some little girl slammed into me so hard I hit the person in front of me. E.R. Showed X-rays that they could see the muscle spasms in my neck they were so bad. They put me on Valium, which helps but makes me sleepy and I was already on percocets for my arthritic knee pain I've been dealing with for the past year. October 23 I had my orthotic knee surgery to fix that. As of oct 31st I've had this horrid pain on my right side that starts at my lower back all the way down my leg. Ive had this problem before but this time it's a doozie!! I look online and see others experience this misery and it's sciatic nerve pain. I can't walk without hurting, can't sit or lay down, and trying to use the bathroom is EXCRUCIATING!! I haven't 'used the bathroom' in days because it is so miserable. Not to be crass or disgusting but I wish I had diarrhea...so sorry but if you are experiencing this pain you understand exactly what I am talking about.
I start PT on Monday, (today is Sunday) for my neck from the wreck and I can't wait!! My question is this....did the wreck possible cause this too?? My lower back wasn't affected from the wreck(that I know of) or is this just another on that long list of whats wrong with me. I am so tired of dealing with pain, I can't stand it, and I'm sure my family is at their wits end with me always bitching about hurting one place or another. All the doctors want to do about me is throw pills at me, please someone give me some insight about what to do. Please help
Pain is so painful!
