Coccyx Memory Foam Cushion or Donut Pillow

Has anyone had any relief using these types of pillows? I suffer from DDD, Osteoarthritis, Spinal Stenosis & Segmental Instability. I use an anti-gravity chair (which is wonderful) in the house. But I need some kind of relief while sitting at the computer and/or driving. As well if there were positive results about this type of cushion, it could be used on the seat of the scooters in the stores. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Take care.

I have tried many different cushions, donuts, to help pain from sitting. I have coccydinia, as well as lower lumbar problems, so sitting is a big issue for me. I find that for myself, I cannot sit up in a straight back chair, so rely, on my lazyboy at home, as you do your gravity chair. In the car, as a passenger, I recline my seat 3/4 back to help relieve the pressure. Do you have pain in tailbone, buttocks?

When I tried a donut, at first it seemed to help my coccyx pain and helped especially in the car on bumpy rides. However I found that for myself it seemed to increase the pain in my low back. A memory foam cushion with the coccyx area cut out seemed to work a bit better for myself.

Everyone is different, I hope that you are able to find a cushion that helps you.

  • I use a Back Joy with memory foam in it but I've seen similar butt bucket cushions also. I've tried memory foam and gel cushion not so bad but love the back joy from personal experience. Charry

I sits in a chair at a computer all
day long, my lower back hurt every day, the pain was far more than unbearable. I tried to put a pillow on
my back but not helpful much. Then, my son  purchased the ChiroDoc cushion for me , a memory
foam Seat cushion on amazon. A superb decision on my part. After a week or
so I was sitting at my desk, almost pain free. After a couple months, the pain
was greatly relieved. I weigh about 230 lbs. and I thought
their cushion would go totally flat.and stay there. Well, by the time morning
comes my cushion is totally back to its original shape. Go figure. I must say
that it has actually helped somewhat and my sciatica doesn't bother me as much
    anymore either.

Hope my suggestion can help u   :)
