Had an ACDF c5-6 in May, and felt great for 6 month.
Suddenly, in Dec. symptoms started worse then before.
Had trigger shots that helped for a minute. also had an epidural which resulted in numbness that got worse, and maybe slight range of motion improvement, but still in pain.
Now I'm back on pain meds and not happy about it. Plus, they don't seem to work all that well any way.
CT scan showed:
1. status post acdf with plate, screws, and interbody fusion spacer at the c5-6 level. Mild bony ridging along the posterior fusion margin results in mild bilateral foraminal narrowing and borderline central spinal stenosis.
2. slight bulge and endplate ridging c3-4 with minimal right foraminal stenosis.
What does this mean on the ct scan? I know I don't heal well with surgeries or metals of any kind. I can't even have staples or wear earing because my body will not heal until the metal is removed. I also have a lot of scar tissue from other surgeries like C-section, tummy tucks, ect..
I am going to see another neurosurgeon, but would like some idea about what is going on in the meant time.
Thanks for any advise,
