lump 3 weeks post microdiscectomy

i had microdiscectomy at l5/s1 level 3 weeks ago. After surgery i had a large swelling travelling across the incision site about 5 inches long. This has reduced now to just swelling on the incision about an 2 inches long but does not seem to be going down in size, it is not painfull other than when i try to rest against something which makes it uncomfortable. I am a little concerned by this as i am unsure if this is normal and obviously do not want further complications. Has anyone else experienced this at this stage after the same surgery. Any info would be appreciated.
