worried daughter

Hi. New here. My mom lives 1000 miles away from me...she is 75 and has drop foot (seemed to have woke up one morning with it). She just had her left hip replaced 3 months ago, now this. Mri showed spinal stenosis. Orthopedic surgeon wants to do surgery asap. Not certain as to they type of surgery. She is now homebound because the foot drop is her right..can't drive.

  • That's a long way to be away. Will she have help after the surgery? I'd try to take comfort in the fact that the surgeon does feel like even at age 75 her health is good enough to tolerate/heal/and beneift from surgery.
33yo mom of two. My surgical history...preadolescence scoliosis, kyphosis, and a hot mess.... 5 spine surgeries and lots of items added I wasn't born with (titanium, peek, surgical steel). Guess cremation is out. TSA loves me.
