spine surgery

Was wondering how other people are doing since having spine surgery. I am going in for 3/4 disk removed and plate and screws. Want to know how others are doing after something like this?

  • Lots of successes. When is your surgery?
33yo mom of two. My surgical history...preadolescence scoliosis, kyphosis, and a hot mess.... 5 spine surgeries and lots of items added I wasn't born with (titanium, peek, surgical steel). Guess cremation is out. TSA loves me.
  • ALIF{through the tummy} of PLIF through the back ?? i had ALIF but have also had spinal surgery from the rear .i have found that i was better when i has surgery from the rear {pin wise and recovery\] but since the ALIF i have been in a lot of pain and not felt well since the operation nearly 16 months ago now .and i fear that another disc above the original surgery has failed or is generating pain that goes through to my belly button area .its awful and my pain killers don't touch the pain ..being in the uk i had a CAT scan BUT ITS BEEN OVER A MONTH AND I STILL HAVE NOT GOT MY RESULTS .so i lay here in fear and pain ....any spinal surgery is risky the older and if your fitness level has dropped [like mine }you are and the more levels your having done and if they have been operated on previously there is more of a chance of a fail .if your young/ fit /slim/ and its your first surgery done by a top end consultant you stand a good chance of a good result ..good luck
