Pain patches

My Pm just prescribed the Fentanyl 50 mcg patch from the Butrans 20 mcg due to costs. $155 vs $15. but told me to wait 1 wk before putting on the Fentanyl patch. I'm taking my BT norcos 7.5/325 in the meantime but I think I'm feeling the effect of WD'S . It feels like having a bad cold & the pain in my lower back isn't going away with the Norcos. Has anyone been
through this change in patches and their PM's advice to wait a week before starting on the Fentanyl patch? I have DDD,
Herniated discs in the L4 L5 area, bulging discs & the discs are starting to slip.

  • That's odd. 28 mg (total daily) of hydrocodone only converts to 7.78 mcg fentanyl patch. I googled fentanyl to hydrocodone conversion. I'm no doctor but you might want to go back...seems like the conversion isn't right.
