My doctor put me on Hydrocodone for my sciatica but it wears off in 3 hours and I have to wait 6 to take it again. Is there something better to take?

There are a vast number of 'long acting' 'controlled release" pain medications that physicians can RX for you.

Talk with your doctor - If he is not comfortable or knowledgeable - ask for a referral to a pain specialist.

but first your doctor has to justify and approve those type of medications for you.
Talk it over with your doctor.
