How do they diagnose SIJD?

Just a quick question for everyone.

Recently I saw a doctor who said that I was extremely tender in both SI joints. How is SIJD diagnosed? Will an MRI or CT scan show abnormalities or SIJD? Will X-rays? Are there certain physical tests that the doctor can perform that is indicative of SIJD or just SI joint problems in general?

I'd really appreciate anyone's input. Thanks so much!

  • If you go to the top of the page and look under conditions, there is a lot of information on SIJD and it's diagnosis and treatments. I hope that this helps.
