Ankylosng Spondylitis, Osteoporosis, Spondylosis, Chronic Pain
I am a 49 year old married male with about 30 years of Ankylosing Spondylitis. Remicade has stopped the systemic inflammation, and while the AS resulted in auto-fusion of most of my spine, I have unfused areas of C5-C7 that are causing lots of pain and are diminishing my quality of life. I look forward to sharing more of my story in different forums, as much applies to me, as well as learn from those of you have have been down similar roads.
Cervical laminectomy, facetectomy, and foraminotomy (3-6 of each) with instrumentation and cadaver fusion due to cervical spondylotic myelopathy, radiculopathy ,and spinal cord contusion - surgery done in April 2014.
