si joint pain, numbness

My name is Cindy. I am new to this forum.

I have been doing alot of research to try to find out what is wrong with me and found this forum.

Long story short, I feel at work over a year ago onto my left knee and left hand. I had joint pain throughout my body for a few days later. I finally decided to go to the doctors because I was concerned of a fracture( I have osteoporosis) X-ray came back negative. I was told to take ibuprofen for pain and come back if it worsened. Well over time I was getting pain in my left groin and alot of back pain. Nine months later I could not take the back pain any more. I was in tears at work, could not walk very well or move for that matter. I went to an orthopedic doctor but did not mention my fall. I was in so much pain I could not think straight. They did lumbar xrays and it was normal. The doctor told me to try therapy or a chiropractor. I choose the later. After a few treatments of adjustment and traction I felt pretty good and was very happy. The only problem was I was having pain going down my left leg from my SI joint. It literally went right from the joint, across my left buttock, down my left leg, through my knee and into my foot. My leg gets numb and tingling. When this happens I can't put pressure onto my leg. I feel like my knee is giving out. It actually hurts to touch my joint and sometimes my leg. If I touch my left knee in a certain way my leg goes numb. I am also starting to get the pain in my right SI joint and groin. I am getting very sharp pains going from my groin down my right leg. I am also getting pain in my ankles. It happened to my left leg after moving and I then could not move my left foot. Not sure if it was just from the pain or the pain was actually causing the foot not to move. My arms have also been going numb.

I limp alot. Sometimes I feel like my legs don't want to move. I finally could not take working anymore. I drive almost 2 hours a day and I am an instructor so I walk alot, sit alot , stand alot. Mon/Tue are 14 hour days for me. My body finally said no more so I am out of work until I get fixed which will hopefully be soon.

Tests: MRI of my lumbar spine- showed central disc protrusion, more to the left, L-4 and L-5 . no impingement but disc touching spinal cord. MRI of hips- normal Hip x-ray showed bone spurs on the acetubulum bilaterally. Nerve conduction tests were normal.

I am going to see a Neurosurgeon at the end of the month. My chiroprator is hoping the surgeon will think of something that he may be missing. My health insurance denied a CT scan. We are hoping the surgeon can talk them into it. I also am going after WC to take on all my bills.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? i did read through some of the posts on the SI joint topic but didn't see all of my symptoms. I am getting depressed. I just want to feel better and get back to life. I am a walker and can't even do that anymore.
