Re-herniation 5 months post op

Hi all -

I had L5 laminectomy and L4-L5 diskectomy in May. I continued to have foot pain and back pain after the surgery. All the doctors and physical therapists I saw told me I just needed to be patient, that healing is slow. So, it's been 5 months and I was still so limited by pain, I went back to NS and he ordered an MRI. Sure enough, there is re-herniation at the discketomy site. I have seen the MRI results but have yet to speak to the NS. Anyone else find out that they re-herniated disc post surgery? Did the NS have to repeat surgery? Was second surgery successful? I am so limited physically right now. My foot (heel) pain becomes unbearable if I am on my feet too long. My back is actually less painful than my foot. I get terrible headaches. I initially was referred for surgery due to foot drop, and the foot drop is slightly better, but I still don't have much strength in my toes. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Hoping to hear a success story.
