  • Sorry to hear about your back pain. Unfortunately pain pills won't help much due to the the type of pain your having. Anti inflammatory won't do much to help either. However, if you have someone around that can help you stretch you may find you can ease your pain almost completely by doing leg and hip stretches. When we are layer in bed for long periods on time our muscles in our back seize up and become stuck. Along with our nerves. So most likely you are experiencing a muscle and tissue problem causing nerve pain. I do one stretch that has helped me more than anything. Try this :

Lay flat on your back on a soft carpet or yoga mat. Have someone take one leg at a time and lift it by your foot straight up until you can't go anymore without hurting yourself, hold that position and relax. You should feel a tight feeling behind your leg. Hold that position for a minute and then slowly have you let lowered. And repeat with other leg. When your all done you should already feel a little better. Drink a glass of water and do this at least twice daily.

I wasn't able to get out of bed either. Then I discovered this amazing stretch and am able to walk 2 miles everyday with a back fusion. Give it try. Exhaust all options before resorting to opioids and NSAIDs. They will destroy your body and your mind!

Sorry to hear of your condition.I would suggest you consult a spine specialist and get the MRI done. If pain has been increasing, it might require some quick attention.
In the pain you have, PLEASE AVOID ANY STRETCHES, as it might worsen the situation. Best thing to do is lay flat on your back and do not sit for long time.
. Wish you speedy recovery. God Bless :)
