Another reminder to read the forum rules

It becomes clearer and clearer that many new members that register do not take the time to read the Forum Rules and our FAQ.

I have also been guilty of the same charges when I register for a web site forums. I like to register for those high-tech Network, Windows, Apple, IOS, Hardware, etc sites. I register, quickly look things over and make a thread. Shortly afterwards, I either find out that my thread has to wait a 'period of time' before becoming valid, or that my thread topic has previously been discussed.

But back to Spine-Health. We fully understand that people register at this site not to learn more about computers, knitting or weather, but instead they are looking for help regarding their pain and discomfort.

Because of that, we generally are more flexible when it comes to threads/posts that violate forum rules.

One of the biggest problems we see is duplicate threads. Many people feel that if they say the same thing in about 10 different topic areas their message will get better attention. That is so wrong... Why
  • - With multiple threads, other members will not know which thread to post in- With multiple threads and responses, there is no sense of continuity in the topic- Some member will not reply, and just wait to see which thread will become the valid one
So, when we find a duplicate thread, we will close out the thread, but point members to the original thread.

PLEASE, PLEASE read the forum rules and our FAQ. There is a lot of information there that will help you not only with your initial thread but hints on making better and more effective threads/post
