Type 2 Lumbar Scheuermanns + Scoliosis + RA
I was just diagnosed with atypical lumbar scheuermanns (no vertebral wedging) with an apex at the thoracolumbar area. Been in pain and physical therapy for over a year now. Just saw 2 spine surgeons and they both said I would need a T2-S1 fusion to correct that and the scoliosis, but I will not be a candidate for surgery until I am probably 35 or 40 if I'm lucky and neurological problems don't crop up sooner. I am 22 now. I also have rheumatoid arthritis.
My questions are
what forum do I belong in?
Does anybody else here have 10+ level fusions including the entire lumbar area?
Does anyone else in this forum have lumbar scheuermann's? Atypical or regular?
