Slow gain of strength? Please read. Stories appreciated

Hi guys. I had a skull-C2 fusion done back in October and one of the reasons was due to weakness. I had my surgery and had started OT for my had strength and 5 months down the road I am barely hitting 5 lbs and I have been stuck at that grip strength for over 6 weeks. It is frustrating! Bit only that my symptoms have gotten worse. Has anyone had their strength take so long to come back, any stories really about strength and weakness woul be helpful. If you also have any stories about it getting worse before better that would e very appreciated. I am worried because I am only 15 and even my neurosurgeon is getting worried at this point. Please help!!!

I am sorry you are dealing with this issue. I don't have any experience with this, but I just wanted to give you words of encouragement. You are very young and have a lot of life to live. Stay positive and don't give up.
