Hi all...... I have bulging discs....L4-L5-S1 and have had herniated discs in the same area in the past. I have a lot of pain and take tramadol 100mg slow release morning and night with 50mg quick release when required. My doctor has suggested a cortisone shot for the pain. But I also have muscle spasms and cramps in my left calve muscle constantly. Will the cortisone shot have any effect on that? And will the shot mask the pain and allow me to make the disc bulge worse without me knowing ? My job has me bending and lifting all day, although not lately, and I'm at risk of losing my job right now. Any thoughts?
