This forum is extremely informative as well as the website. I thank you all.
I found out today I have two hyperintense lesions on my spine and suffer from levoscoliosis. I have three herniated discs in my cervical and one in my lumbar. I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon.
After experiencing two rear end car accidents in the mid 90's, and a fall in 1999, I had a doctor tell me I had a small fracture on one my cervical vertebra. He wanted to do surgery. I refused. I will admit I was scared and didn't have much faith in the medical profession for preforming back/neck surgeries with a positive outcome at that time.
Since then I've experienced terrible pain that has grown into excruciating pain and my life has changed drastically. It's also has taken 14 years for a doctor to actually listen to me and give me the proper tests to find out what is wrong with my whole back.
I'm a mom of four adults children and a grandmother to two grandsons (one is due in August).
I'm still scared and a little angry at myself for refusing the surgery and some of the doctors I've dealt with in the past. It will be good to write and hopefully get some positive feedback.
Once again, thank you
