Newbie here - Waiting for fusion of L5-S1

I have been lurking for a long time. I thought it was time I actually joined. I herniated a disc 7 years ago and that started me down the path of chronic pain. I have been diagnosed with Fibro, DDD, spondylitis and most recently vacuum phenomenon of L5-S1. I am preparing for fusion surgery and hoping this will help with the pain I've dealt with for 7 years. I have done decompression (made it worse), RFAs (no longer work for more than a month), Facet Injections (work for a couple weeks), Epidural (actually made the pain worse). I have done PT, laser treatment, massage, chiro and anything else to avoid surgery. I have been on Norco and Robaxin for 7 years. I have tried Lyrica, Topamax and a few other nerve drugs, but they haven't helped at all. So now is the time. I just had a new MRI and I have met with 2 surgeons. Looks like my surgery will be PLIF with pedicle screws and take place in a couple months.
Thanks for reading my post!
