Neck pain while turning head up, down, left or right

Hi folks, I am new to this forum. I have got severe pain in my neck when I turn my neck on left, right, up or down, the only time it doesnt pain when I keep my neck in one posture look straight or look at 45 deg up or down and the moment I turn my neck left or right it hurts badly, I have been going to chiropractor for past one year and this pain is there for almost 2 years. There is no improvement in the pain, I dont understand what do , I did go to the family Dr and she said to go for physio therapy and I tried that as well and didnt do anything.
So Please any suggestions.

    I don't think there is anyone on this board qualified to diagnose you based on descriptions of your symptoms.

    my best advice is to visit an orthopedic doctor and then take it form there -- most likely they'll order an MRI on your neck to see if anything is going on with your spine (disc herniation etc). the chances are good that its something less serious than that.

    also, I would be wary of letting a chiropractor go anywhere near your neck if it's already hurting like that. if something really is wrong, chances are they're just going to make it worse -- so please be careful.

    hi i am new i would like please ask for your help all this is new to me ,i be suffering with headaches causing blackouts about 2 moths ago one blackouts was laundry i don't remember but i know hit back of my neck left side is swelleng hurt terreble i can't turn to left my dr send me for xray i did this is result .there is straighyening of the cervical spimne,likely due to positioning or spasm with 2mm anterolishthesis of c4, possibly degenerative.loss of disc height is noted c5-6.multilevel unvertebral hyperthophy is present.the prevertebral soft tissues are remarkable,impression: spondylosis as above with 2mm anterolisthesis of c4. i need some one help me with this result explain to me can help to what i can do for pain thank you very much

    there is nobody on the forum qualified or permitted to interpret or advise on a scan this is something you need to discuss with your doctor
