Really painful SCS

I had my SCS implanted on February 20th of this year. It was quite sore for about a month after I got it. Then it quit hurting, for the last week it has become really painful like it was just implanted. It is not red, just extremely painful to the touch. Has anyone had their battery suddenly become really painful? If so, what did the doctor do about it?
