Nice Forum Guys! I'm going to take some time to look around but I wanted to take a minute to say hello and that I made it over.

My name on the old board was egriff but I opted to go for just griff here. I hope this board will be as wonferful as the last.

Edited to add my history:

On June 28, 07 I was involved in an accident with a semi. It won. I ended up with 3 herniated discs, C5-T1 and had to have and ACDF on those levels. Within a few days of that surgery I started having complications such as arm pain and urinary problems. By the 4 month mark I had lost most of my upper body strength and I was losing reflexes in my legs. Revision surgery was done on June 30, 08, which consisted of partial corpectomies (removal) of the C5 to T1 vertabraes and decompressions of the spinal cord and nerve roots. My cervical spine had to be remolded back into the proper shape again to reduse the pressure of my spinal cord, as both the accident and first surgery had forced it to curve forward. I'm looking forward to healing once and for all!

  • Griff - not to bring up a bad subject... but tomorrow is the anniverary of your accident... I noticed because 1) I have a thing about dates, and 2) today is my 5th wedding anniversary. Hope you are feeling better each day!
  • Hey Carly...

    Happy 5th Anniversary!

    Lotus :)
  • Carly,

I wrote the wrong day- it's today- and I've had a hard day. I didn't think it would be a big deal but I guess since I'm still in this mess of spinal nightmare it makes it harder. Thank you for thinking about me. I'll correct the date! Happy anniversary to you and your hubby. 5 years is nothing to sneeze at these days!
