Pedicle Subtraction Osteotomy

Has anyone on this forum actually had this surgery? Thanks.

Yes, and it corrected my flat back syndrome but many other problems have arisen. First, I cannot bend anymore, which is better than being hunched over. However, now I have broken hardware all over the place. I would research this more before proceeding if you haven't already had the surgery. Now I have to go back and have all of the rods, bridges and pedicle screws removed and have new ones put in. I'm not sure if it was directly related to the surgery or if the hardware was faulty. At one year after my last surgery there was a broken rod and nine months later: two broken rods in several places and a broken pedicle screw. It may just be me who had a bad experience but I would research more before heading into such a big surgery like that.
