Having Problem Sleeping

I had ACDF on C6 and C7 a week ago 10/31/2014. I am amazed that the pain is gone. I have numbness in pointer and middle fingers left side, but it seems to be getting a little better, and I have some swallowing discomfort. The worst thing is I cannot sleep. I feel like I am going to jump out of my skin at night when I should be getting the sleep I need to heal. Has anyone experience this and do you have suggestions?

Thank YOU!!

  • Well I have a problems with sleeping too.. I even took ambien 2 weeks now after my surgery and last week stopped it on cold turkey and went through so bad withdrawals that I fainted and was lucky I did not hurt myself. I ll not take that ever again only if I travel overseas or some. I m took Benadryl like half the 25mg pill after the ambien but I makes me too slow day after so now I m taking melatonine 2mg...I m not sleepy, because I m use to exercise and now I can't do much nothing.
