Pain Only On Left Side Of Spine

Hello. I have been having pain in my lower back for quite some time. It started probably three years ago with just some stiffness on the left side, and is now much worse. I have seen a doctor, and had x-rays taken which show osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease in the lumbar spine. A couple of the discs are narrower than they used to be.

Mostly I wonder why the pain is all on one side. Has anyone else had this? I keep wondering if I'm doing something in my daily life to cause it, or it the pain just due to the arthritis, etc?

I had pain only on right side, was caused by annular tear and herniation, but annular tear was worst of it. I was told arthritis also, but after injection by tear the pain went away.
Do your due dilegence, trust you know your body and question everything if it does not fit. Advocate for yourself and you will be suprised what will be revealed trusting your body and instinct.
