Acid reflux after ACDF

Was just wondering if anyone has had a problem with acid reflux or heartburn after an ACDF. I have noticed an increasing problem since my surgery in Oct. It would make sense that this might happen as the plating is up against the esophagus.

I'm hearing you flower lady. For me I think the start of it was reclining often post-op and especially after eating. I've been seeing a doctor for esophageal issues for the past two years and with a prescription medication and change of eating habits have been able to reverse the symptoms. Get after it soon and don't wait too long like I did.

Hi. I had an ACDF in May and I have been struggling with swallowing but
more so with severe heartburn each day. I'm not seeing an ent until October and I was cleared with a barium swallow so who knows why this is happening?
Feeling very sad about it as everything else is fine and so having the fusion helped the rest of my body.
