chronic neck pain with increase in symptoms

I have had 7 years of pain in my neck, midback and low back after falling down the stairs. I have had surgery on L5-S1, a spinal cord stimulator implanted and ACDF C5-7 with plate and screws. It's been 4 years since the cervical fusion. I have had multiple cortisone injections for neck and back pain as well. Each winter my pain increases with the cold weather, and the neck pain along with muscle spasms are very painful. This January I began having an extreme increase in the pain in the neck, mid-back(bra line) lower thoracic and lower lumbar/sacral spine. It feels as if there is something on my head compressing me and causing pain in those areas. Eight days ago I woke up unable to move my head and neck. The pain was at a level 10 and has remained between 9-10 for pain. My left arm feels weird, the back of the upper arm to the elbow aches and my ring and pinkie fingers tingle. I am on Robaxin QID, Dilaudid 8mg QID, and Methadone 20mg QID that my pain doctor has prescribed. I have an appointment to be seen in two weeks and have called to tell him about this change. I was told to use ice, heat and massage which I already am doing. Has anyone else had issues like this and what helped, what diagnosis did you get? I am unable to elevate my head, let alone sit or stand without excruciating pain and becoming nauseous due to the pain. Pain shoots down my spine from the neck to in between my shoulder blades. My muscles in my neck(back as well as
both sides), shoulders, upper back and at
the base of the skull are so very tight they
have hardly any give. Headaches are a
problem as well. I need help!
