Update to mystery pain

So, I had two ACDF one in 2009 ( C5-C6) and one ( C6-C7) 3/5/2015, that I am currently recovering with pain. I had a second MRI done post surgery and everything looks ok ! I have left out the part where the original MRI 2/5/2015 one month before surgery stated:

C5-C6 -there is a large posterior disc ridge complex, osteophytes with mass effect on the spinal cord resulting in mild central spinal stenosis. There is mild bilateral neural forminal narrowing.

So, my final follow-up with my surgeon yesterday results are as follows: C6-C7 fusion is complete, continue therapy with increased exercises. The pain I am feeling may be coming from the C5-C6, (the same disc I was jumping up and down about but my surgeon insisted it was fine) to come back in 3 months, if the pain persist we will have to go back in and remove what ever is causing the pain!

I am disappointed that after suffering in pain for over a year and doing all sorts of therapy, I am still in pain. Thanks everyone for listening to me rant ! It nice to have a place to go where people understand the issues!
