Hi everyone, im new to this so gonna introduce myself properly.
I was diagnosed with scoliosis of the lumber spine in 2007 and had titanium rods fitted from bottom to middle of spine. Screws became loose so had a revision surgery and rods extended up to my neck.
I then had prolapsed disc in lumber spine so caging was fitted and spine fused. During surgery they accidentally made a tear in the cerebral fluid sac so I was taken down for further surgery to have it repaired. I also contracted colistrum difficile so had an awfull time in islolation for 2 weeks!
I have since had further surgerys to repair rods and most recently had most of them taken out, my spine is fused from top to bottom though im not sure on which surgery this was done.
I apologise for lack of medical termination but I actually havnt a clue, most of these years of surgeries are a blur and I dont have much memory of any of it although im not sure why : /
Anyhow its a pleasure to meet you all !

  • You will find lots of support here. I have had chronic pain for years (no meds- just heat, massage) Now have numbness in hands so had to look into it. MRI shows my neck is a hot mess so Tuesday I will be going for 3 level fusion and instrumentation. I don't want surgery at all (who does?) but I will be glad when I am finally on the other side. You will be in my prayers.
