Hi! Long time stalker, first time talker:) I have a question and I hope that someone out there can help me. I have had lower back pain since i was in my early twenties (I am 41 now). The pain is definetly worsened after my two daughters . I always had that 'put up and shut up' attitude towards back pain but finally after chiropractors and nagging, went to see my doctor who ordered bloods and an x-ray. The X-ray showed scoliosis as well as wear and tear in the lower lumber (where the curve is located.) Now I have been researching this on line, and as it seems to be a mild case - there shouldnt be any pain. But there is? I have the pain in the same place where the wear and tear is showing on my x ray. My Doctor and phyysiotherapist has said that the pain it due to my back over compensating on one side. I am grateful that i have tramadol to help with the pain, and make me feel like anormal 41 year old and not a 80 year old. But I am confused on what I am reading on line. I do feel pain, it is real. Is there anyone out there who has a mild case of scoliosis who experiences lower back pain? And wear and tear of the muscles etc? I would be very interested in knowing. Apparently I shouldnt be feeling any pain but I do!
