Pain can maintain a hold over you... as long as it gives you something.
Take away from pain, that power, and,it has nothing...
You will no longer be in its power

Pain will have you focus on it exclusively, thus,it will give you something to focus on other than your true life.
Remember your true purpose,your,true self
And it will loose itself from your memory

...the aloneness in the pain is worse than the pain itself.
That one reason I so appreciate being part of this site.

I don't feel alone. We share the experience.
We share in the ups and downs. We share in needed to be lifted up and to help in the lifting up of others.

The reminders from and to one another in our true selves and our continued worth....just priceless to me.
Having community truly does lessen the "power" of the pain...for me.

We llive the silent scream of pain
    Openmouth and nothng comes,out
    People pass
    Some
    Stop and stare
    Ohh wait
    It was behind you
    Sorry.

    Bent
They who think that we are broken
Cast off in our leaky dingy..
    Good luck
    Bon voyage
    Here
Have some cucumber sandwiches off clean linen and sunlit hats..
    Halos for the dears.

    We
    Bent,
    To oar...
    Slave to sadistic master
    This ship of mine.

There is room beside me ...my friend adrift
    My shirt a tattered sail
    Our Pirate flag
    Snapping in the gale.

Sit beside me...I your tatty friend
    Together
    You and I
    You"ll sit A"bow
    Fingers white, upon it now.

Turn tiller toward the yonder shore
You whisper tween the tidals roars
I see the fear when yonder whitings break
You pray the Lord your soul to take.

    We turn away from
    Avert the eyes of
And close the heart to turn astone
    feeling
    feeling
    Feeling!
    Every lash
    Every slash to bone.

    No
    Better to sail on alone
    Than face trial afire
    Over on little white isles
    If only for,awhile...

    But worn
    WORN!
    Aye we are worn...
    But we two sail on,
In this little dingy pon the seas.

    Never reach the greenward shore
Its the shoals for you amd me

So step lite my mate and me
    Laughing gulls,now we make three

Its a far shore to share this boat
    Await and see

In our little dingy pon the sea.
Nite comes upon padded kittens feet
I lay you resting on clouds upon the sea
    Take my hand
    We'll feel the edge
    Between this life
    That life
    And me.
    Surface tension makes the water
Makes the boat upon the sea
    Displacement
    Equal parts you see

    Me
    You
    The dingy
    If not balanced
    The bottom we shall see.

    They look with pity
    They look with glee
    We,never left the harbor
    We never met the sea

    But wonder at the smiles
    Our faces
    As we lay together
    On this Dingy
    You and me.
