Finally got my pain relief increased!!

Long story short (I have posted the full thing previously)
For 4/5 years I've had lower back and left leg pain. My pain relief had been increased and decreased a few times through the years, but after a set of steroid injections last November my GP decreased again to 15/500mg co-codamol.
This had stopped taking the pain away and I felt it was now useless. I knew I could take more codeine but was limited because of the paracetamol.
However, today I went to see my GP and he's given me 30mg codeine... yay! I can now control my dose much better and actually be pain free (though currently a little drowsy). I'm feeling much better but still looking for a new option of pain relief, I don't really fancy being on codeine forever! So any good reviews... throw my way!
Also, my doctor has prescribed me propranolol 10mg, 1-2 when required to control my anxiety a little better.
I work in pharmacy anyway so I'm aware of how the drug works. Just wondering if anyone has used propranolol for anxiety and what they thought of it?

Thank you!
