lumbar laminectomy in two weeks

Spinal stenosis triggered by fall out of bathtub. Overweight, heart condition (palpitations). Bursitis in left hip, left leg pain extremely bad, lower back pain. On steroids for blocked sinuses for three months after fall, taking advil for headache and hip pain for every other day since fall in Feb. Stopped all meds on May 20th to prepare for sinus blockage surgery in June. left hip and back starting hurting so bad could not walk straight June 7th. Have not stop hurting since. Had one bursa injection and two spinal injections and water therapy that made my back and leg worst. Second MRI last month showed 5th disc had shifted onto nerve. Now I have to have surgery in two weeks. So tired of hurting, plus just got a letter that lost my job of 9 years as a social worker and having a hard time finding a workers comp attorney to take my case.

Want to wish you the very best on your upcoming surgery!
And with you as you take care of your needs re your job.
I know it is very difficult to try to manage your pain while dealing with the frustrations of ....life.

I started using a shower chair about a year now and it's been a lifesaver.
One time it took me about 20 minutes to get out of the tub. My legs were like spaghetti.

You may find one of the threads useful. It's called..Post op Must Haves.
It offers ideas that we may overlook prior to surgery ...that will help with recovery.
Just use the search on this site, upper right on page.

You also might be interested in looking into your issues and or surgery you'll be having.
Usually when I search, I find I have more questions for my doctor.

You may be seeing pain management doctor already, but if not,
one question might be, will you being seeing pain management doctor after your surgery?
