Diagnoses with Spinal stenosis due to a 1cm synovial cyst on T-11 T12... Was bowling quite a bit and would have back pain, not bad after bowling for about a year. The Last game I bowled was my highest at a 257 and my feet started to go numb. I stopped bowling and set up a Dr. appointment. A week later got in to see my dr. an Mri was set up for 2 weeks later. The mri said " advanced spinal stenosis on t 11 t 12 with spinal cord flattened to 1mm... Got to see the results a week later at my DR. an appointment was set up another week later with spine surgeon. Surgeon said what I have is EXTREMELY RARE!.. Out of 16000 synovial cyst patients only 9 had it in the thoracic area. Was told I need sugery but needed another mri up higher on the spine.. This took 2 more weeks and in the mean time numbness went from feet, up my legs anus, etc.. The longer the wait the more numb I became. Got the Results from the 2nd mri and another week goes by. By this time I can barely walk .. I walk with my feet banging the floor like I am drunk. MY surgeon did a partial Laminectomy, no fusion, open back... Immediately I could walk again! My numbness in the anus area is nearly gone however my feet are still numb with the "bees on my legs and private part..... Ultra Sensitivity...I have been ALL OVER the internet and there seems to BE ZERO info on the prognosis of this type of cord impingement..... I am on here to see What the results are as of Nerve damage... Do we get the full recovery?, Partial, none????? Thanks in advance....
